Arrived in Tumwater, WA, after 3 days of 2160 miles including day 1 of 1038 miles to qualify for the Iron Bitt Association. Dave was waiting for us and soon Susan arrived from work so we went out to dinner at a local watering hole.
Todays ride was interesting since we rode next to the Columbia River a good portion of the day. Great scenery but few places to stop for fuel. At one point we were both on reserves when we finally found a place to fill up at Bright City, OR. Lots of wind made the ride bumpy but not as bad as Nebraska.
Traffic up I-5 was busy but we arrived at Tumwater around 3:30 local. We had great weather the whole trip here which made the long day rides possible.
Attached are a few pics of our ride and our dinner with Dave and Susan.
Tomorrow we both get new tires and oil change in prep for the next phase: Alaska.
